Reading the Bible Like/As an Adult

Taught by Leonard Beechy

Oct. 13, 15, 20, 22 | 10-11:30 a.m.

As we age, we may acknowledge the Bible’s importance, we may even love it. But we may also carry memories of conflict and fear, of scripture being used against us. We may find ourselves increasingly uncomfortable in a world that condoned slavery, patriarchy, and genocide. How can we face these realities and still find meaning in the ancient words?

Leonard Beechy, longtime writer for Adult Bible Study, Salt and Light, Rejoice, and The Christian Century, will lead this interactive exploration.

Classes are held in the Jennings Auditorium at Greencroft Goshen Community Center.
