Midwinter Lecture – Animal Training Helped My Relationships with Humans
When training an animal, it’s all about the ABC’s: Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence. Most dog owners focus on the Antecedent. They plead and even scream “SIT” at their dog hoping it will influence the dog’s behavior. Knowledgeable trainers focus on the C: Consequence. Make the consequence positive, the dog will sit more, make it negative, the dog will sit less.
Sound simple? Come and learn how training animals can also help in human relationships! Naomi is a dog trainer and also has two children, a 2 and 4 year old.
