A Guide to Public Speaking (for the Naturally Gifted and the Rest of Us)

Taught by Duane Stoltzfus

May 13, 15, 20, 22 | 10-11:30 a.m. | Jennings Auditorium, Greencroft Goshen Community Center

Public speaking consistently ranks among our greatest fears (in some studies eclipsing even death). But Duane Stoltzfus believes that we can all learn to become more comfortable and effective as speakers. He will draw from his personal challenges with speech anxiety and more than two decades of teaching communication at Goshen College. He tells students that the secret to public speaking is private writing. This will be an interactive class with opportunities to tell stories and practice introductions.
